We decided to drive from San Antonio to Colorado Springs for a three day trip as we had been offered this for a prize after looking at some land. We saw it as an opportunity to make several stops along the way and being able to see family and friends. The roads in San Antonio were covered with Bluebonnets and other flowers and were a sight to behold.

When we got to Lubbock, we stopped to view the statues of Buddy Holly and other notables. We were always impressed with Lubbock and how easy it was to drive through. The streets seemed to run in one direction and were easy to follow.

We toured Lubbock, but decided to go on to Muleshoe, Texas as we had heard so much from Julie about the town where her grandparents had lived.

We spent some time in Muleshoe and took several pictures to remember the occasion and share this experience with our friends, who had relatives from Muleshoe.

We then made our way to Fort Sumner and enjoyed the beautiful lake and the city. The mountains and scenery along the way made us miss our move from the desert South West.

We really enjoyed the view of the lake and made a number of pictures to remember it.

We stopped to look at our old house in Clint

We took a different route home and came back through Albuquerque to Las Cruces and El Paso in order to stop and see our best friends, Julie and Raymond, and to take a look at the house we owned and sold in Clint.
