One of our many timeshares was spent at Williamsburg, Virginia, where we learned more of the history of early American history up close and enjoyable. We spent the seven days in a nice timeshare and used our days to see Williamsburg and Jamestown for the full amount of time we had.

Our pictures show only a snippet of we took in and became aware of concerning our early days as a country. Williamsburg was founded in 1638 so it was here before our founding fathers fully developed the constitution and declared our freedom from England.

William and Mary College

We visited William and Mary College in Williamsburg while we there and was impressed with the buildings and the reputation of the college.

The night ghost tour was well done and eerie

Two of the things which I remember and am glad that we took part are the nightly ‘Ghost Tour” and the “death by chocolate feast in which we partook. The first was scaring up spirits and phantoms from the past and the latter was done in really ‘good taste.’

I will try to show the pictures we took and allow you to draw your images as to what they mean.

Some houses had more classical lines
Others were more like apartments

We were interested the styles of houses that had survived the ages since they were first built.

Some looked modern apartments and others were from the earlier period of our America.
